High School Scholarships Announced from The Westwood School
Incoming 9th, 10th & 11th grade students invited to apply for 2018-2019 school year
Dallas, Texas (5/1/18) – The Westwood School International Baccalaureate (IB) Program for high school students is accepting applications for The Pam Butler High School Scholarship for the 2018-2019 academic year. Incoming 9th, 10th and 11th grade students are invited to apply for this scholarship by the May 25, 2018 deadline. Scholarships recipients will be notified by June 1, 2018.
Newsweek has recognized The Westwood School’s IB program among the best in the nation noting, “There is no ‘academic elitism’ at Westwood for the school believes that every student should be exposed to the holistic richness that is the Diploma Program. Their academic results and college acceptances confirm that the inclusivity of Westwood is a successful educational model.”
The Pam Butler High School Scholarship, named for Westwood’s founder, has been established to recognize students who want to pursue a well-rounded, challenging, international education. To qualify for the scholarship, students must be first time applicants to Westwood. The scholarship will cover Westwood tuition for up to 4 years of the IB high school program.
First-time Westwood high school applicants who complete the scholarship application by the May 25 deadline will be considered for the scholarship based on their demonstrated abilities in these 6 areas
- 3.0 GPA or above
- Team player
- Positive influence
- Community service
- Inquisitive
- Leadership
