Camp Description

Week 1 June 7-11 Chef’s Showcase Yum-O! Stir, chop, mash & taste. Learn about food, nutrition, table scaping, table manners & master hosting!
Week 2 June 14-18 Around the World Travel the world without having to leave Westwood. Use your passport to learn about many different cultures!
Week 3 June 21-25 Dare to Have FUN Jump into fun & daring activities! Show off your superpowers & those of your teammates. Prepare to conquer the world!
Week 4 June 28-July 2 Lego City Test your skills as a master builder with Lego blocks & homemade Legos! Let’s create, invent, problem solve, work with others & innovate.
Week July 6-9 (4 days) It’s a Circus Theater Learn to put on a show with costuming, rehearsing, writing scripts & designing sets. Then, we’ll put on a Big Top Performance!
Week 6 July 12-16 Kid Nation Create an entire town together with other kids! Build & decorate your own cardboard “house.” Then, team with others to create laws, find jobs & run your businesses.
Week 7 July 19-23 Make it Take It Art Become the next Picasso! Create original art in the style of famous artists & host a gallery opening.
Week 8 July 26-30 Mad Science Discover. Imagine. Learn a new branch of science each day through hands-on experiments!
Week 9 Aug 2-6 The Great Outdoors Set up your tent, cook like a true outdoorsman & discover orienteering. Learn about U.S. National Parks & master outdoor basics. Enjoy this big adventure!
Week 10 Aug 9-11 (3 Days) Summer Cool Down Let’s chill with the friends we’ve met this Summer. We’ll make Summer memories for a lifetime!

Summer Camp Details and Policies

Register in 3 easy steps!

1. Registration Form: Complete the Your Summer to Shine Registration Form. This is a confidential Google Form. If you are more comfortable with filling out a fillable PDF, click hereThis is due three weeks prior to your child’s camp start date.

 

2. Submit other forms: All campers should submit our Health Questionnaire one week before their first camp date. Additonally, If your camper is not a current Westwood student, please submit their current immunization records, along with any of the forms that may apply to your child.  Please also submit any of the following forms if they are applicable to your camper: Severe Allergy FormSevere Asthma FormInhaler Self-Carry Permission Form.
These are due prior to the start date of camp.

 

3. Pay and receive confirmation: As indicated in the registration form, there are three ways of making payments: By check, credit card on file, or a new credit card using Tuition Express. Once we process your payment, you will receive confirmation of registration! Payment is required to confirm registration.

Camp Schedule

Westwood Summer Camps are offered in one-week sessions. See Camp Sessions section or Your Summer to Shine brochure for weeks and themes!

Morning Care: 7:30 am—9:00 am
Morning Care is provided for no charge to all students attending camps that begin at 9:00 am.

Afternoon Childcare: 3:00 pm—6:00 pm
Available throughout the summer.

Preschool part-time options available. 

Registration Information

To receive “Early Bird Discount”, payment in full must be received by May 1, 2021. Otherwise, payment in full is due with registration.

Special Payment Option available when you register a student in 4 or more weeks of camp: 50% payment with registration and balance due June 21, 2021. “Early Bird Discount” will not apply.

Classes fill quickly; we encourage families to register early. Spaces are limited and camps will be closed to additional campers once filled to capacity.

You will be notified at least two weeks prior to the start date of a class if it is full.

Payment and Late Pick Up Fees

There are three ways to process Your Summer to Shine tuition. Payment by Check, payment with Credit Card on File (current families only – current credit card must be on file with office) or payment by Credit Card using Tuition Express (information on registration form.

Drop-in rates are available for Afternoon Child Care. Please contact the office for information. Any child not picked up within 15 minutes of the end of their camp will be charged the drop-in rate of $20.

Westwood closes at 6:00 pm. An automatic late fee of $20 will be charged for any child not picked up by 6:00 pm. An additional $1 per minute will be charged for any child at Westwood past 6:15 pm.

Cancellation Policy

Written notification is due four weeks prior to the start date of a camp. Tuition will then be refunded, minus the registration fee. Without this advance written notification, no refund will be given.

Lunches

Campers must bring a lunch each day of camp. Microwaves and refrigeration are available to all students on campus.

Splash Day

Every Friday all campers on campus will have a Splash Day! For Preschool students, mini pools and water toys will be available. For older campers, an inflatable water slide will be available. All campers should wear a swimsuit underneath their clothes to camp on Fridays and bring a towel and sunscreen. A hat and sunglasses are recommended.

Student Policy

Westwood reserves the right to dismiss any student whose conduct is unsatisfactory or who fails to follow Westwood rules and regulations. No refund will be made to any student who withdraws or is dismissed from a week of camp after the camp has begun.
