2018 Mock Trial Results

The Westwood School Mock Trial Team competed in the 39th Annual Texas High School Mock Trial Competition on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at the George L. Allen, Sr. Courthouse in downtown Dallas. Students competed in the Region 10-North Texas (non-DISD) against 23 other teams, which is considered the most competitive region in the state of Texas. The team performed well and were competitive in all three rounds of competition. Although the team, as a whole, did not advance to the semi-final round, they did receive individual awards: Abigail H. ’18 competed in the courtroom artist competition and earned 2nd place overall and advanced to the next round of competition, and Eric P. ’18 was named as one of the top 12 attorneys in the region. Members of the 2018 mock trial team are attorneys Eric P. ’18, Abdullah H. ’18, and Morgan-Renee B. ’21; witnesses Sam V. ’18, Sara M. ’18, Autumn B. ’18, Ben K. ’19, Morgan S. ’19, and Sam P. ’20; courtroom artist Abigail H. ’18; understudy/practice attorney Hannah S. ’19.

Please congratulate all of these students for their hard work in preparing for the competition and their exemplary representation of The Westwood School.
